Walford Hotel

Staff were brilliant, service for breakfast was amazing, hostess and host lovely, beds comfy location on one our favourite streets.

All in all we were happy

Very good location ,5 mins from front where the tower is a, hosts were lovely & breakfast was lovely our son enjoyed it. Rooms were clean.

Quite dated rooms, very small TV but we weren't really in the room long , we stayed in room 2 and when guests with children came in you could hear their footsteps and voices from above us this died down after half hour , think the room could have been slightly lower in price .

Everything, from the minute we arrived Deffo recommend

The beds on the 1st floor were low for my wife has a disability it wasn't easy to get in or out of the beds, but once in beds we're comfortable.

Was in a great location for shops, theatre and pubs.

No dislikes.

Breakfast times was only between a half an hour period, would of preferred them to of been a bit of a larger range of time

Everything else was spot on, the staff were friendly the food was nice and we got a lot of it! The hotel was right near the pier for the festival it was a win win

Only thing I didn't like was the light in the room due to the grid like thing it was sat on in the ceiling mainly because it banged occasionally with the window open

The way we were spoken to on arrival. Quality of the room. Size of the room. No hand soap in room. 2 plug sockets high up. Breakfast taated of stale oil.

A friendly welcoming service by owner, breakfast was ace as reported by number one son, I missed mine as slept through

Everything it's clean comfortable food was excellent the host was lovely nothing was to much trouble we were even moved to a better room as I'm on crutches. Can't wait to book again

It was dirty rooms very smelly and beds were to small. Unfriendly attitude towards kids and adults. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Really good owners but for the price which was 240 for 2 nights b&b it should of been cleaner there was cobwebs in corner of the room and in the morning we was checking out we wa checking under beds to make sure kids hadn't left anything and there was underware from previous guest Breakfast could of been a lot better it was like they had cooked everything earlier in the morning and kept it warm also not very long for a breakfast sitting giving you only a half hour a lot to go down for it

Breakfast came quickly when ordered and check in was quick and simple

Breakfast didn’t start til 8:45am which I think is a bit late on a weekday, I held on to the bannister rail and nearly fell backwards down the stairs as it wasn’t secure, bottom sheets on bed were marked, only 1 plug in the bedroom,

We were welcomed and made to feel at ease, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent.

We were at the top of the hotel , probably due to booking late , no problem with the room though , in future I'll be sure to book earlier .

The location is excellent. You can easily walk into the town centre and on to the main street within a few minutes which was great for us! The bed was comfortable and the owner of the hotel is very friendly and polite. For the price you pay for one night and for what we needed you can't expext to be staying at the Ritz.. but it is nice to have a clean room to stay in.

The stairs could do with a good clean and the decor could definetly do with updating. I understand it must be difficult to hoover the hotel as there are 4 floors to the hotel and some of the steps are steep! Our room was not clean as there were a pair of socks under the dressing table and a hat from someone who must have stayed the night before. I'm not sure if guests smoke in the hotel as there is a stale smoke smell as you walk through the door. If you are staying on the top floor the hot water takes a while to come through, which is understandable BUT to get the hot water to work you need to turn the shower on to the cold setting instead of the hot one.. which made no sense haha.

No parking near hotel. Nearest on street is round the corner, or in shopping centre. Room a bit dated
